I get that you already own your Sequoia, but much like you have a hard time with new car prices, there is NO way I could throw $20k at Sequoia add-ons.
I am not doing it, either. Just piling on Blue's comment of the truck you have versus the truck you don't and that to get the truck you don't means you need to spend 70k.

My Sequoia has about 130k miles on it, but I am more confident in adding 200k miles to it than any other car I could buy new right now, including the new Toyota Sequoia. If I were to drop the supercharger idea, I could spend 10k to make it really capable if I really wanted to.

I have been checking out what Tandem off road puts together for the Sequoia - pretty impressive stuff.

Yeah, I am lost in total mixed feelings between throwing money at an older truck or starting with new. The only vehicle I have no qualms with - using or throwing money at - is my 2-door 109.

Check out the news on the upcoming Lexus GX550. It get the same twin turbo 6-cylinder as the Tundra. Probably the same for the upcoming Land Cruiser. I’m getting all hot & bothered.

I’ve seen that. Considering the current GX starts at 60k it kinda blows away the Ineos if you are ok with independent front suspension. If these are in that price range, they are going to sell a lot of them.

I imagine the new LC (Prado) will have better approach/departure than the GX. That front approach isn’t great though

it has low range standard on all trims. Overtrail edition has a rear locker as well.
I was just going to correct my post, "The electronically controlled transfer case shifts between 4WD-High and 4WD-Low quicker than the previous model. The Overtrail grades also get a locking rear differential."

Still can't come to terms with the look...

Its interesting when it comes to Toyota's and lockers. I see the front locker in this and in others, but I don't think they offer any front lockers in any car, nor have they ever. I guess that's one thing to consider. They do have a pretty good system with a-trac from what I can tell watching videos - never used it personally, though (or the rear locker) even though they are in my daughter's FJ.

There are many reasons for it.
The most important one is dumb owners.
Near the bottom of the reasons - the driveline must be able to live while locked under full engine torque in lowest gear. This used to be done with a smallish engine and beefier drivetrain, completely opposite to what most 4x4 manufacturers are doing.

It looks like brutalism on wheels
I like it. One of the first things I look at is the front bumper area to see where you can make a clean cut line to fit a steel winch bumper. This Lexus would be tricky. Would have to see what's going on back there behind all the plastic. The rear looks pretty straightforward.

When I read this I thought good luck finding anyone to make a WB for that. I guess I am wrong. Yes, for the '23 but have to think it will be available for the '24. And.. it looks really fucking good.

Odd winch angle, no drum access, obligatory dumb LEDs, obnoxious laser-cut bird logo. At least its stupidity matches the Predator grill. Hopefully the predictive LC renders are accurate in reducing the design weirdness of the Lexus counterparts.

I just want a truck that looks like a truck, not some ridiculous Batman masculinity cosplay thing that most manufacturers are pumping out now.

I have their bumper on my Tacoma. Can't speak to the winch angle. Accessing the drum is not a problem. When I turn on the light I see... a lot of light, not the bat signal. The welds and fit were top notch. But my point was you can buy aftermarket for the rig, which surprised me.

They were the only vendor I found that allowed me to do this without cutting the fuck out of the body panels and go back to stock if I wanted to. That's why I chose them. Given my job I know a thing or two about fabricating, and this bumper, for my truck, was a job well done.

PS
I did think about cutting the emblem out, but it just doesn't show up.
