From an outsider all I can say is I hope Bush doesnt win again...
War on terrorism my arse, Britain has been trying that for decades in Northern Ireland
and the only good that came out of it is 2 convicted terrorists got the Nobel piece prize.
Lets face Gee Dubya has hardly made the world a safer place, :( :(

hmmmm.....

now why have the Brits been fighting Irish "terrorists" for decades?

and why are the Americans fighting Islamic terrorists?

FYI, we're not paying him to make the world a safer place. We're paying him to make our country a safer place.

Exactly what I've been wondering about.
Imagine you work for a company, and it is about to change its CEO. All of a sudden, your fierce competitors (e.g., Europe) start saying that they would much prefer a Guy 2 as opposed to Guy 1 as a CEO.

That alone would push me to make a decision.

I hate to get involved in political discussions, but my husband and my father-in-law are gun-owners and will be voting for Kerry. I don't actually own a gun, but I'm voting for him too.

Kerry Gun Owners.....HAH! What a joke. I hope your husband and father-in-law are not NRA members. Why? They are backing Bush.

I saw Kerry on the News tonight with a big ass goose and a shotgun. The image is so fake. I mean come on, you can tell they pulled the Carhart gear right out of the Fed Ex Box and slapped it on Kerry for the promo shot.

Yeah, the world may not be safer. But at least Bush didn't act like the Clinton the Pussy and launch million dollar cruise missiles at a tent. But then again, I am one of those mean Americans that says Fu#* the EU and pull our troops out of Germany. The next time you have a problem, don't call us, call Kofi Anan in the UN. He's got all the answers.

Since when does any successful company care what a competor thinks about who should be CEO. It's been my experience in business that the opposition always suggests you go with a weaker position, never a stronger one. Do you really think Steve Jobs has any influence on Bill Gates? Personally, I think Bill would do the opposite just to spite Steve. Just my 2 cents.

Just for the record. Kerry did have to go out and buy a new camo coat to go hunting. Just what an avid hunter does, goes out and buys new everytime he goes into the field. And dont make comments about it being more convenient that way, he had his gun with him, didnt he?

OHHH excuse me...
Im sorry I thought we all lived on the same planet, but I suppose as long as the US
is safe everyone else can go stuff themselves.

And my reference to NI was meant as an example that fighting terrorism with soldiers doesnt work. I know I spent 6 months there.

Well as long as you guys dont have to pay more than 50cents for your petrol I suppose you dont care how it is done... YEAHHH GO Gee Dubya

Whats the difference between GW and a monkey...????

A monkey has more hair!!!!! :D :D :D :D

Whoa, slow down there big guy. These were not personal attacks, but rather points of view of who WE feel safer with in the drivers seat. I don't remeber the US as a whole EVER being so vocal over who is choosen to lead GB. To the best of my knowledge, the election of the President of the United States never came down to what citizens of another nation wanted.

Why does the EU think our politics are your business. Thakfully, the pandering to France, Germany et al, of the Clinton years is dissapating. Granted we all want a safer world, and I would much rather fight them on their doorstep than wait till they knock on mine again. We tried to turn the other cheek throughout the 90's, The Cole, the 1st WTC bombing, several embasies and so on, and the only thing it got us was 9/11. Thanks for your opinion, but I don't remeber anything in NI that had the single day death count of what we had a few years ago.

Don't get me wrong, we all pray for your soldiers in the Middle East just as much as pray for our own (at least this American does). Further, you and your country have been by our side through some pretty tough roads. Your that friend throughout life that always has our back. But please dont equate that friendship to citizenship. Love ya like a brother but this is one family function ya'll are not invited to.

Further, the price of gas in your country if I'm not correct has much more to do with taxes levied by your government and the cost of getting it to there than anything else. Do you really think Shell Oil, Mobile, BP etc sells at a higher price in the UK because they have it in for you? Most of the current situation regarding the cost of gas (I paid $2.29/gal here this morning btw) has more to do with supply and demand (emerging economies in places like China, lack of new refineries being built to keep up with demand etc) than someone in the Saudi Royal family doing us a favor. We've all heard for years that oil was a finite commodity so it should come as no shock that the price is up. Or is it Bush's fault that the enviromentalists in the US wont let us drill in places where there are vast, known reserves.

I ramble and rant and for that I apologise. But this is one American that is sick and tired of being pissed on by the rest of the world for doing what is best for our little neck of the woods first.

Lockouts suck, I miss hockey

I am with you on that quote for sure. But of course, the EU is currently enjoying a bunch of our NHL players this season. If hockey spools back up in Jaunary (hoping), they'll blame Gearge Bush taking all the talent back to the USA and Canada.

The NHLPA has called a meeting, hopefully some headway will be made. Sucks that the owners have said the deadline is 12/1 for a settlement or the season is lost.

You know , what really freaks me out about debates like this is the fact that we have been the worlds baby sitter for so god damn long. So god damn long that everyone is like children and we are like parents that cant get a moment alone to worry about our own affairs.
A large number of the statements here are just so damn silly. One dude says something about gas prices and what we will do to keep them low and blah blah blah. Well we are paying more now then before. We ALWAYS fucking pay when it comes to other countries in trouble. THats right , out of our fucking pockets. How many others are doing that ? Dont go off on some tangent about how we are so wrong. The fact is that the American tax payer pays more then any other person from any other Country on the planet to clean up other peoples messes. Now going by dude criteria we are just greedy fucks who dont care how we get what we get. Does that makes any fucking sense at all ? If we wanted the oil we simply need to take it. Hell , if that is how we are and we wanted your country we simply need to take it !!! I get so fucking sick of hearing shit like that when its the American tax payer that takes it in the ass everytime some other coutry cant keep its shit together. Some people say its not personal but I STRONGLY disagree with that. Its real god damn personal when money is taken from individuals here to repair isues elsewhere just to have half the planet complain about it. Fuck the gas prices , how bout keeping your shit stable enough so that we can keep our money on our soil ?
Ofcourse other countries dont want Bush in there anymore. They would like to be able to to do as they like or say what they like without the worry that something may come of it. We as Americans like the fact that its just not that way these days. Yeah , thats right , you cant act like a dick and not get slapped in the chops. At the same time , when you do act like a dick and you do get a little pop in the chops WE are the one that foots the bill for it.
Someone said they would rather have a dumb president rather then someone that was a liar. I dont think Bush is dumb. I think he really just doesnt give two shits about how he sounds. People that put too much effort into how they sound ussually have something to hide. I dont feel Bush hides much of anything at all.

This story is so typical - it's heartbreaking!

I am a senior citizen.

During the Clinton Administration I had an extremely good and well paying job.

I took numerous vacations and had several vacation homes.

Since President Bush took office, I have watched my entire life change for the worse.

I lost my job.

I lost my two sons in that terrible Iraqi War.

I lost my homes.

I lost my health insurance.

As a matter of fact I lost virtually everything and became homeless.

Adding insult to injury, when the authorities found me living like an animal, instead of helping me, they arrested me.

I will do anything that Senator Kerry wants to insure that a Democrat is back in the White House come next year.

Bush has to go.

Sincerely,

Saddam Hussein
