We watched SNL last week. I thought the opening act was great. Then I fell asleep.

I like that. Newspapers say or do things our blogger doesn't like. So, death to all newspapers ...

Newspapers are bad!

But the Drudge Report has got it going on ...

Edit: sorry, I just have to add - how pissed off can a guy get about his newspaper subscription?

I have to have a newspaper, my wife won't let me put the laptop on the dinner table. Also works better when I'm ticked off at her, it's easier to raise the paper and ignore her, the laptop is too small and too heavy.

. . .

More of a statement on journalism in general. They've dug their own grave by not providing objective analysis. The Anchorage Daily News is another example:

"The paper has a liberal record and backed the Democratic candidate in the last three presidential elections."

Gore and Kerry?

'By contrast, the Daily News suggests, Mr Obama "brings far more promise to the office".'

Really? Let's compare the newspaper industry's regurgitation of the Democrat parties talking points to:

Quality journalism has moved from the old media to the new media.

You could say that ... or you could say you have to look harder for what you consider quality, since it is way right wing where fewer people live, or want to be ...

McCain's proposal vs. Obama's Nationalized Healthcare

Almost Everyone Would Do Better Under the McCain Health Plan
WSJ
OCTOBER 27, 2008

The McCain health-care insurance tax credit may well be one of the most misunderstood proposals of this presidential election. Barack Obama has been ruthless in his attacks. But the tax credit is highly progressive and will provide a powerful incentive for people to purchase health insurance. These features under normal circumstances should endear Democrats to the proposal. . . .

There is a reason why the WSJ put the article in the opinion section and not on the front page ...

A nicely written article with a very positive spin ...

Ok, but Obama's universal / nationalized healthcare program has had years of analysis while McCain's has had virtually little analysis. Most analysis of McCain's plan has been Obama's spin. Again, a lack of an objective MSM.

I hope I'm miss understanding you post but the last four works make me wonder if you think Alaskans don't want to be there. I'm not sure where your from but I can tell you Alaska is a much better place than any of the states I've lived in or visited. Talk shit about Palin all you want, leave Alaskans out of it.

Intresting, I read it as fewer people want to live in the far right, just like fewer people want to live in the far left.

But even reading it like you did, it's not a knock per se. Fewer people do live there, and fewer people want to, otheriwse they would.

Sorry? I didn't mean Alaska at all. I love the place. I've been many times and I'll be there again next summer when the Kings and Reds are running down in Kenai. I've got relatives there. I've got nothing bad to say about Alaska. Some lines got crossed somewhere ...

My bad!! Sorry!! not trying to start a fight

I just love that place. As soon as we sell a rental house we plan on looking for a place up there. Like I've written many times before I married an Alaskan who is very proud of her home state. I like the idea of how self reliant the people up there are. Kinda how my father raised me. OK Hi-jack over back to politics.:patriot:

Palin cleared of ethics charges in Troopergate / firing of her public safety commissioner.

Not surprised. Day before election.

Some of the stuff coming out on Fox about Palin is priceless.
Apparently told to Fox reporters off-the-record and had to remain so until after the election.
Didn't know Africa is a continent, and didn't know South Africa was a country and not just the southern part of the "country" of Africa.
Couldn't name a single supreme court ruling she disagreed with other than Roe v. Wade. (I hadn't seen this until I saw it mentioned on Fox)
Couldn't name the countries that are members of NAFTA.

As reported on CNN... a lot of that is being fabricated about Palin... similar to the fabrication on the negativity toward Obama.

Plus, I'm sure 90%+ of Americans wouldn't answer those questions any better. Hell... 90% of Americans likely don't know which city is the capital of Alaska.
