So far you've added very little useful information to anything I've asked. Most of your posts are inflammatory, and this goes to all of your posts, not just my threads. .

yeah you are right I am just here to cause problems:rolleyes:

Your posts remind me of another numbskull from canada...ajh...is it the water up there or what?

I say put the stock axles in and run the Detroit. I'm giving you this awesome advice because you're biggest jagoff on discoweb right now. Anybody that agrees with this advice is also an idiot. Find me one instance in writing on this board or any other board that someone saved the detroit when breaking an axle. Oh and have fun trying to pull out that long side shaft when it breaks 6" from the locker. I hope you have a broom stick with a 1/4" rod on the end long enough to push it through from the other side because it's stuck in the locker. I think you should run this setup because you're that asshole.

Awe c'mon. Don't pigeon hole the rest of my country men as idiots just because you don't like me...

Next thing you know you are going to start going on about Canada being a state of the US and how you guys should just invade us and take us over and stuff. My Grandfather (God rest his soul) was born in Worcester, Massachusetts, and my Father (God rest his soul) held dual citizenship and lived in the US part of his life. I tend to defend my neighbors to the south every chance I get, and I have a lot of friends and relatives down there. Do yourself and your country a favor and don't go there.

And numbskull? Is that the best you could do? I don't find it offensive at al. I've had a total of six concussions in my life, have been electrocuted so bad that I couldn't talk right for about six months and lost half of my hearing, plus I've damn near froze to death several times. I'm surprised that really isn't my nickname. In fact, can I change my screen name to numbskull? It's perfect!

If I was to do a user search of your posts over the past couple of months and calculate positive helpful posts, against useless, shit disturbing, finger pointing, bordering on paranoid schizo posts, I'm sure the useless ones would hugely outnumber the helpful ones. And you say that *I* waste everyone's time? I'm not going to do that though because I actually have a life. The boys and I are going to see Max Payne. Far more interesting. Maybe I'll just wait to get the truck finished and then post some photos for you to prove that I actually have a truck. In the meantime, you can entertain your fan base as normal. Sound good?

Safarirover has a set of HD axles for $300

How hard the axle is to remove all depends on where exactly it breaks. Most times, one part comes out after you remove the 5 bolts (like normally removing the axle) then the other part comes out with a telescopic magnet. If the two parts match up, then no reason to look for stray chunks, slide new axle in and bolt it up. If some is missing, time to drain the gear oil and strain for the "missing peice". If you cant find it, pull the diff assembly and look for it then. But most stock axles I have seen break fairly clean, seen a few that took all of 10 minutes to change and get moving again.

You do realize that the broken parts will stay in the detroit? Yes you will be able to drive with a broken carrier but it will now be a spool.

Here's my problem with you... Why would you give this advice when you know your chances are so much greater of breaking the detroit with a broken axle than not? Of course there's a slim chance you might not break, but the odds are definitely stacked in favor of breaking it. It's bad advice. I still think he should run the stock axles though because i want him to break his truck.

Aww that's too bad, the asshole won't see my posts anymore. I'm so hurt.

Steve. I didn't block YOU. Just Musky...for now. It's a cool feature. I LIKE IT! :)

I don't mind if you think I'm an asshole. If you got to know me, you'd KNOW I was an asshole. :D

I will be very careful about your advice from now on though. ;)

K. I guess I will stick with open for now in the rear and just change out the gears to 4.11's. We'll see. Who knows....? I might surprise you all.

Thanks to a few of you though I will NEVER buy anything from Keith. He can use his *Posse* all he wants. I won't even mention the company name because I won't give him any publicity here good or bad. He can use his friends here all he wants. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and thought he handled things correctly in the end, but now see him as using his *friends* to do his dirty work at arm's reach. Bottom line is you assumed that since you had friends on here, you could change the price after the deal is made, and when I complain about it, you tell me too late it's already shipped, and say, "Thanks". You don't even address the fact that I said to cancel it based on the new price. It was as if you said, "Fuck you. You're buying it whether you like it or not and if you try to do something about it, my friends and I will fuck you over on Dweb." New flash: That shit don't work with me. Keith you can blame your friends, when I do to you what Musky and other "Keith" allies do to Bill from GBR. And if I get banned for it, the dweb world and others can see what really happened, or not. I doubt that will happen though since Ho sells some of GBR's stuff. Either way, I won't care. I'll be happily wheeling my truck and still find ways to gain info and insight on it, and help others where I can with what I have learned so far.

Now let's see the shit fly....:flipoff3:

LOL do you really think he cares?

who wants to sell anything to a little dipshit that changes his mind after stuff has shipped and cancels the payment?

freight is costly these days and difs are heavy.

oh and just keep in mind that keith is the only person out there working on a real complete solution for the the DII guys.

so have fun with your 100+ lb rim, tire and chain combination on stock DII shafts...and when you break and cant get the third out to extract the broken pieces have fun as well cause its pretty clear you are burning some bridges in the rover community.

FYI all, the price went up to $469 when the invoice arrived (original deal was $430), and Keith said in the email that he was going to charge my CC that night so obviously it wasn't shipped. I expressed my dissatisfaction that same night and he sent his explanation the following morning with a request for confirmation that everything was okay, so clearly it hadn't shipped yet. Later that night I read the email and replied saying I no longer wanted it because of the price difference and tried to politely hint that I wasn't happy about prices changing after a deal was made like had happened a few times during my motor dilemma. He replied with one line telling me it was already shipped, and signed off, "Thanks, Keith." I felt like I just got kicked in the nuts. It's his problem he eats the shipping. He should've waited for confirmation. Shit, as a fellow merchant account holder, I know I could even lodge a complaint for the procedure he followed and the way he proceeded without my consent. Maybe I will.

Please dont tell me you are the only one entitled to troll the guy. In all honesty though, it all depends on how it breaks. In my experience, you can get the peices out pretty easily. I think marc olivares hit the nail on the head, the differences in terrain across the country might lead to different types of breaks. Should I get some boys from around here to chime in?

ell let me see. I've owned a 4x4 my whole driving life. My first one was a 76 Dodge Ramcharger 4x4 with constant 4wd and hi and lo lock. It was an old game warden truck that I bought at the auction. That was...lemme see...1983. Gee. You were still peeing the bed lightweight. Oh and I live in the country. I don't park in the city and drive out on weekends to try out my truck and take a bunch of pictures and try to prove to everyone I'm a man because I can play in the mud. I actually use it every day.

And I'm not walking to work my friend....Duh! You made fun of that Jupiter dude for splashing through the water and then get busted for doing the same damn thing. Priceless!
