GoodJava said:For folks suffering the amigo problem read this ABS Mod post. Great information and they use the ABS modulator rebuild kit from Falcon Works. I have had alot of correspondence with the lead tech there and am convinced these guys know what they are talking about. I'm so convinced that I'm trying to work out a trip from San Diego to Tuscon to have them work on my Disco.
I saw that. Talk about reverse trouble shooting. Kind of like how a certain member on a certain web site wants people to throw oxygen sensors at every truck with trouble codes.jymmiejamz said:I like how on the Falcon Works site it says that if the $2200 Shuttle Valve kit doesn't work then check for faulty electrical connections.

Find a local shop LR in San Diego...
Jimmy, you forgot about the blinker fluid also...
Are you just posting useless crap or genuinely stupid?jymmiejamz said:You might as well have them replace your muffler bearings while you're over there.
Obviously you have not had your truck worked on around here. So what you're really saying is I like having a "go to guy" at the ready but F them otherwise? Just trying to get an idea of where you are coming from...Mongo said:I know the guy's at Falcon Works, they are a good shop and when I need a part overnight, there are my go to guys...BUT

There are two independent LR shops in my area. Both come in at $50 over what FW quoted me for a standard (disks and pads) brake job. When my Disco threw the 11,4 code and all 4 lights are illuminated my local shop said it will be $2500 (not including labor) for a new ABS and $250 to replace the faulting overlay harness.
