Installed my Land Rover block heater last weekend. Worked great with the cold weather we have had the last couple of days here in MN.
It took a little bit of work to install as I needed to purchase a 17MM allen socket to pull the plug from the block. I am not sure what the easiest way to...
I put a Curt hitch on my 2008 LR3. Very easy install. Got it from Rock Auto for just over $100. It took about 40 minutes to install with about 30 of the minutes on the first bolt. Fed it through in the wrong spot and got it stuck for a few minutes. Other than that it was a piece of cake.

I used a cheap one from Atlantic British and failed before it was 2 years old. Started leaking in the winter when it was about -20 and I pulled someone out of the ditch. Put an original one back in. No problems.

I had one of these on my Disco II for a while. I much prefer the shifter as this was terribly slow in the winter in MN. It took forever to unlock while driving.
I used ATF for power steering fluid in all my other vehicles, including my Disco I. My Disco II did not like it. I tried other power steering fluid but have since switch to the correct stuff Land Rover recommends. My Disco II even when sitting out on cold -20* F days in MN works great. No more...

I live in the area as well. Now as far as shops go, I do all my work myself so I don't know who to suggest.
My Disco II has no reverse gear. I am in the process of getting ready to replace my transmission as well. I'm going to put a 4HP24 in mine instead of another 4HP22. I am also putting the...
