Fabricated Light Mounts for a DII

I do like the OEM light bar, but I will take $12 in parts and 1.5 hours of labor over $150+ of my hard duckets any day. The OEM bar is stronger and more ridgid, but did I mention $12?

    CDL Install Question

On the jam nuts... I did use an adjustable crescent wrench on one side and a vis grip on the other. I don't remember having an issue with that nut. All i can say is do you best and take the opportunity to go buy some new tools. On the bolts... I have no idea!

Fabricated Light Mounts for a DII

So, would it be wiser to use steel angle rather than aluminium? I probably just would not be doing as much cutting and bending on the ends. Isn't the sub-bumper aluminium or is it steel? Would using the less hardened zinc bolts and nuts solve the problem?

Fabricated Light Mounts for a DII

What a minute... The body is aluminium, but the door hinges are steel. There isn't isolation there.

Fabricated Light Mounts for a DII

OK, So the sub bumper behind the plastic, I assume is aluminium, right? The angle that I am planning on using is aluminium, but I was planning on using stainless nuts and bolts.
