Why go to 24 spline...??? If its a daily driver and he is not running 33' + , the 10 splines are just fine, and very cheap to get. I had my 87 for 7 years offroading and no issues though I ran 32's at the time. I say make it easy on yourself and go with 10 spline, ./TG

What does it matter if the dizzy is disconnected while spinning an engine with no oil??? You are still cranking the engine and things will grind.. Prime the pump first!!!!

Shroud does make a huge difference. The belt is not loose? Other causes , can be : ignition, fuel too lean, engine water passages partially clogged. Restriction of water flow at heater matrix.. air flow restricted ( do you have big lights or winch impeding air flow ?) Is this the 89 or...

Wow, seeing through the ladder, jerry can, high lift jack and a spare! I guess i will go with a rear mounted spare!! We do loose to much valuable space in the boot!! My other thought was to have a quarter roof rack and mount the spare on top. though I prefer the rear mounted option. Thanks TG
