Because you will be more likely to look their way? They're assuming you will read the signs. Everyone else rightly assumes you're looking at their boobs. It's just the way it is.

You get that far north I bet all weaker bloodlines have died off. Strong good looking stock got to reproduce. How hot would a woman have to be to get you naked when its 50 below? So that must be why even construction worker's are hot.

I really don't think those chics were from AK. Probably just spending the summer working. Bc they were the only good looking chics I saw in AK......all the native AK's looked very rough. Dixie still reigns supreme in the hot chics category by far.

I've been busy with the family. Here is an update.

Sign Post Forest. This was a very interesting place. There must have been 10,000 signs in there.

On Tues I drop off family in SLC at airport. I'm then heading to Moab. I'm going to take the dirt roads from Moab across CO down to Trinidad.

I haven't had any Rover issues since the coins where removed from under the shifter. New 150amp alternator is working great. I'm glad I took it over the Tundra. My family really likes the Rover.

This pic is out of sequence. I'm about 10 days behind with pics. Just had to post this one.

My wife really digs the Defender. She has a built up Jeep, she loves the topless Defenders. She has been pointing them out. Ha. We saw this one yesterday in Jackson, WY.

The Defender has its appeal and its devoted fans. I've spent my fair share of time driving them (especially the diesels) and have developed an appreciation for them, but every time I get back in my Disco I find I like it a bit better. My wife wants one, but I think I'll wait until we move back to South Africa before we actually get a Defender. Although it's tempting to import a RHD 110...

I might call an audible on my plans for the last 1/3 of the trip. We had a cabin on Spoon Lake, just north of Columbia Falls, MT. It was mf'ing awesome! I fished off the dock and caught 13 fish. I've been fishing more since I tried to kill myself on the dirt bike last year, so I've kind of got the fever. Especially since I've been in prime fly fishing country for 3 weeks now. So now I'm dying to try fly fishing and think I would regret not doing it on this trip. I'm thinking I might go straight to Durango and use a guide service for a day.

I'll probably do the Moab to Paradox route, then head straight to Durango. I've already done the CO portion of the TAT on a dirt bike, so it isn't like I'm missing anything. I'll be back in CO next summer anyway.

regarding post # 529 .I miss the king "Snow King".

Good eye! That is where we were. Snow King has an awesome Alpine slide. My 8 yr old loves to race me down. They are almost finished building the roller coaster. Thing looks like it will be fun.

US Customs/Border crossing station going into AK. It looked like a correctional facility to me. I was expecting a pretty log building or something, but I guess they don't care much about aesthetics....

This has been a good read. I too am planning a trip to Alaska, Fairbanks to be exact, in Nov. The Army is moving me there. So I'll be taking my 96 5-Speed on a little road trip up the Alcan. I'm hoping to get all her little problems sorted out before I have to go. This weekend is "Figure out why the speedometer is not working... again":banghead: and "Install the engine block heater" yay!

There is plenty more to come once I get home. I took voice notes so I will remember everything.

Fairbanks will be a good spot location wise. You can go explore most of the state from your centered position. Denali is an hour away.

Any questions fire away.

What kind of fish did you catch off that pier? Find a guide that can help you find some northern pike or muskie. Stuff you might never see back home.
