A generic scan tool will read the OBD codes from the V8 engine, but thats it.....to read ABS, BCU, Autobox, Airbags, ACE and Security systems you will need a Land Rover based tool.

Not been mentioned at all yet, but OME springs are not actually a 2" lift, its designed to lift 1.5" or 40mm, however it is a true 40mm even under load..... they will generally also outlast others. On a sides note, I still find it amazing that some of the guys here have lifted more than 2" and...

ATF is one of the fluids specified that you can use by the company that overhauls the steering boxes here in the UK. The D1 steering boxes are IDENTICAL to the D2 boxes, both made by Adwest engineering here in the UK. ATF been in mine for nearly 2 years, no probs what so ever. As already...

yeah I agree, would not worry about it tbh. If OME fits your budget, go for them. ACE is a wonderful system for a "drivers" car...........Until it leaks, then is a pita!!!..........currently De-ACE'ing mine.......

Probably just the sensor playing up. Common on the D2 and thats just what it does, gives false warnings of over temp.

Would be nice to hook up the temp sensor to, but theres no plug on the mirror to do it. Maybe the guy who works for them has a "tip" for doing it ?? :applause:

Takes longer to remove the door trim than it does to remove the regulator. Whole job takes no more than a hour tops!!. It is in Rave under "Doors - Regulator and Motor - Front and Rear Door Glass"

Could be an ECU problem, they are also known to pack up with all sorts of weird happenings. I would suggest you go to a dealer to have the ACE system fully checked out.

If there is a "pressure" problem, its a lot more likely to be the pressure transducer in the front of the block.......which are quite common to fail

Interesting !!......... The southdown snorkels I have seen still connect to the factory wing mounting with the stainless adapter in the same way as the others do (mantec and safari).....still using the "mesh" section to connect to the airbox........"inside the engine bay remains...

not really, ARB's are "designed" around Warn 9000Lbs low line winches (primarily XD9000, M8000 etc), if you want to shoe horn somink else in there, its up to you to make it fit, not their design.

Are you sure you mean 4th and not when the TC locks up at about 52-54mph ? (almost like 5th) If its the TC (torque converter) which I suspect is what your referring to, then the behaviour is normal as the ECU wont allow it to lock up until its up to temp.

Warn XDC in mine. plenty of room for that.

Was looking at the Texaco page before going to work, did not have enough time to x ref it all at the time, but after a little bit of searching....... if you look under their ATF fluids, ie Texamatic 7045E which meets Dexron III spec (specified in W/ Manual) that is also suitable for PAS systems...
