    Tata visits US Jag-Rover Dealerships

There is an article in Wired magazine that spells out Tata's focus right now which is to bring really cheap and 50 MPG cars to the emerging market of millions in India not diesel D-90's to the U.S.

May 1st and it's still snowing

Derrick, you're acting like a transplant, you moved to the mountains and they get a lot of snow and in spring it hits hard sometimes! - get over it and make fun of the wimps complaining about it. Part of moving to Colorado is to assimilate or move back.

    Tabor line to be discontinued

Good riddance, never liked mine crapped out too many times to mention, wish I'd gone superwinch to begin with.

    Damn nice Volvo!

And safe, my wife almost ended it when she hit the highway divider after skidding on ice and then bounced back into traffic hitting a semi destroying her Honda but walked away with 3 airbags deployed. Next week we hit the Volvo dealer and bought an XC90 - weighs nearly as much as a Disco and...

Rover spotted in Aurora, CO at REI

LRFlip, You going to need a LOT of film, there are TONS of Rovers in Colorado all types from Series to LR3. Too bad its winter time or there would be lots of trails you could go on even with that Honda (easy ones of course;) ). Cheers

    Indy shop in Denver area?

Most of my fellow Colorado Solihull rover club members use Jeff Corwin's shop JC Rover 4x4 in the Denver area, he will treat you right. Check out his website at www.jcrover4x4.com. Its a bit of drive from Aurora but worth it.

Few CO guys on here.. Any Rockies fans?

Its quite a story, major bandwagoning since they sucked for years and no one thought anything would happen this year until... Most people in Denver are transplants and think the Rockies have always been around forever but we had no pro baseball until 93', anyone remember the Denver Bears? Mark...

    Rockware sliders. Whoes got em?

derrickalda wrote: That was me and the slider did not fail but the door frame bent where the attachment crosses to the frame. I drove down to Colo. Springs and bought them from Rockware directly mainly to save shipping costs. Otherwise I've had no problem them with some hard wheeling.

Land Rover in Four Wheeler mag

Every one in a while i pick up a Petersen's to see what the non-rover world is up to but very rarely will you find a rover but they do show up amongst the pages and pages of jeeps, pick ups, monster trucks and other redneck stuff.

Anyone broken a D2 rear axle?

I'm curious about the likelihood of this too. I run 33's with rear ARB locker with 3 in lift and run hard rock trails (but not a gotta break it kinda driver). I have this feeling that its any moment and it will break but I don't want to shell out $700 for HD axle but maybe I should just wait...

Regreting your Land Rover Discovery Purchase?

rripatti wrote: Yeah, let me qualify mine was old one without the new engine etc but IMHO I didn't like the front IFS for wheeling, cheap construction, spare tire located under rear caused bad exit angle plus it just looked wierd. I know guys beef them up an they do great so not hating just...

Regreting your Land Rover Discovery Purchase?

Actually a good question but I am fully committed because: 1. Unique - swing a dead cat and hit a jeep 2. Monster snow truck - that is important where I live 3. Great to wheel off road 4. Puts my old Xterra to shame Sure there are cons like cost to operate, bad gas mileage but wouldn't...

    Any One Live In Colorado

LOTS of Aussies (and Kiwis) work in the ski areas during the winter so there is lots of work to be found. Winter wheeling can be tough since many of the trails are impassable with snow but there are some at lower elevations. The guys from Grand Junction that replied are in one of those areas...
