I have 04 Disco. 2nd to last battery lasted 3 years. Last battery lasted 12 months. I replaced battery today and truck starts fine. I put multimeter on and alternator in charging battery at 14.5V. I was told alternator should not charge above 14.2V. Does this sound right?

I have 04 disco with re-man short block from AB with top hat liners. When doing the rebuild I used PEL500110 thermostat. Driving temps are now 184-193. I think they use to be 206. So it certainly seems to help.
