    Bilstein 7100s

The only time 400/100 works is when my truck is loaded to the hilt with everything including roof rack tent kayaks and camping gear. Instead of using the shocks to control body sway I went back to a really nice rear sway bar and lighter valves in the shocks and its so much better you just...

    Anyone running Yakima 1A feet?

I run them in the rear with Rail grabs on the factory rails in the front, by just going a bit wider on the bar you can keep them outa the windows. I have had 5 kayaks at 50-70 lbs each up there without issue.

    Too low of miles?

sounds like a 04 that has suffered a oil pump failure and because these are really related to mis located dowel pins the new oil pump may not last any longer. they know this and thats why they are running away. I would as well....

Anyone towed a 1999-2002 Disco II behind their Motorhome?

To do it legal in most states you need to have a supplemental braking system on something flat towed the weight of a disco. http://www.brakebuddy.com/ There was a guy from my town here that towed his disco 1 all over behind his motor home without any issue.

Is it normal for air conditioning condensate to drip on transmission & drivehaft?

Re: Is it normal for air conditioning condensate to drip on transmission & drivehaft? I have to say that the combination of the two is what makes them fail. to say condensate dropped right on the joint that has been cooked out of grease wont contribute to a shorter life would just be short...

    Replace 4.6 with 4.0

because the 4.6's are ticking time bombs due to oiling issues caused by poorly machined 4.6 blocks.

    Pulling Timing...I think!

I would bet on injectors are dirty and the 02's and ECU are playing with the fuel trim to try and compensate.

Bimini twist in ultra light rigs

the Bimini twist was a great knot 20 years ago when the micro finish on mono was rough and tying knots in it caused the line to be damaged. Today with the new really smooth high tech lines they are a bit of old school overkill in most applications. You can very easily use a double surgeons...

Oil pump failure caused by thrust face failure

John I follow your logic but couldent the cracked oil pump ring and resultant oil starvation cause the thrust face to overheat gaul and then fail? maybe this is a example of what happens when you continue to operate a motor that has had the oil ring fail because of the poor specs on the front...

    My rig for camping

a couple weeks ago we did a extended weekend trip up in the UP of Migh, sleeping on the shores of lake superior on sharp rock. The total mileage was about 1200 for the weekend. I missed the living hell out of my rooftop tent. I had left the rack and tent off because the $4 a gallon gas and I...
