Guys,
I recently did a brake job and replaced all four rotors and pads. Everything seemed fine. Used appropropiate amounts of grease on the caliper/pad touch points and behind the pad shims. I drove it for a few days and properly broke in the pads/rotors. Yesterday, I was pullng a trailer...
I have a 99D2 with a 2" OME lift, steel wheels, 265/75R16 TAKO's. The truck has 110K Miles. I've never had an issue with the ACE system, and every other year would replace the fluid as routine maint. Recently, I've had the yellow ACE light come on. But no issues with performance. I had...
I have a starting issue I can't figure out. When I turn the key, I hear a click and that is it. I've checked the battery. 2 Year old Otima Red Top, seems fine, sat it for a day or two on the charger and it's fully charged. Also lights and aux power seem to be OK too. I thought it might be...
I saw this Disco the other day on the Northway (I-87) between NYC and Albany. I really liked the white roof and wheels. My '992 is also oxford blue (like this one) but I have a SD Rack. Looks like he also had AB steel wheels like mine. I'm considering doing this to my D2. The roof is...

I just re-filled the transmission in my 99D2 recently and I've noticed that it appears to be leaking from the fill hole. Odd. I've made sure it's tight. Is there a crush washer on there that needs to be replaced or is it designed to weep if overfilled?
TIA
I have a 99D2 with 98K. Within the past 500 miles I replaced the headgaskets, had a valve job and also replace the transmission temp sensor as the light had come on the binacle.
So far I've driven it with no problems.
Today, I we pack up the disco and head to the adirondacks pulling my popup...
The good news is, after the HG change the truck cranked right up, no engine codes and is running VERY well. It seems to have alot more spunk.
The bad news is I get a waffle sized oil stain whenever I park. My wife has it right now at work, and I plan on trying to find the source tonight...
I"m nearing the completion of my HG change. So far it seems this truck just wants to fight me every step of the way! Arrrg.
Anyway. Last night I pulled the radiator to replace the transmission fluid temp sensor. When I put it all back together I noticed that the fan shroud is loose and...
I'm putting my heads back in and there are green wires with a "O" connector on the Fuel Injection Harness. I can't seem to remember where they attach... is it on the back of the head or else where?
And BTW that bolt stretching deal sucks, I would much rather torque to a spec.
I'm in the middle of a head gasket change. I just got my heads back from the machine shop for the valve job and they look PURTY! :D
One question. I was looking at the rockers and noticed they are non-adjustable. Was there no provision to adjust them for wear over time? How does the...
I have a 99D2 with 98K, 2"OME Lift, 265/75/16's on Steel Wheels.
Over the past few months, I've had a mysterious coolant leak, weak performance and poor fuel consumption (10MPG) I figured knowing the rate of HG failures on Rover Engines and those symptoms it was time for a HG replacement...
Guys,
99 D2
I'm taking off the lower intake manifold as part of a headgasket change. There appears to be some sort of quick connector attaching the fuel line to the fuel rail at the back of the manifold. I can't figure out how to get it to release and the space back there is tight. There...
I got a Rover's North Flyer today and they had wiper arms for sale for $12.95 for RNH892 that were used on '90 + Range Rover Classics. I know D1 wiper arms work on a D2, would RRC arms work? I would love to covert to "normal" wipers.
Lately my wife has been driving my 99D2. Just yesterday, my son mentioned that he could feel an occasional rhythmic thumping on the passenger floor board. It's not constant, but today while driving I heard it too. I replaced the front drive shaft awhile ago and do grease it. I'll get under...
For those of you that mounted the Hella FF75's in your TJM bumper, how did you intall the lights? I got the old turn signal out, but with the bracket the lamps seem too tall for the hole. Did you mount them without the bracket somehow? Or just wedge them in there?
